First things first, this week I continued working on the demo trailer and got the third and probably final cut.
I got it down to 1:43, recaptured some shots, rearranged some shots and added one shot.
I'm also experimenting with an alternate cut using a more guitar driven rock music track. While the shots will remain the same, they might need to be recut or rearranged slightly differently. Have a look!
Other than that here are some of the other things I did:
I worked on Mikey's daydreaming cutscene, it's not final yet, but it's getting there, check it out in the video below.
Added back view idle for Mikey, so when you reach an hotspot with the back view walking animation, it won't flip back to front view. I should probably do a back view talking animation too.
Updated Mikey's head in the walkie talkie overlay, and made him push the button when talking.
Added wall clock in the kitchen. The clock starts counting as you start playing the first scene and will keep counting time when you are in other scenes.
Reworked the styling on the subtitles. Thicker outline and extra letter spacing.
Extended the park scene horizontally, so Lily won't be too close to the left edge of the scene.
Inventory slot highlight when hovering and selecting an item.
